In the past, people used to imagine a different world by looking into a box with a peephole, called “Raree show”.

Over time, we, who have become captivated by the small shiny box, come to know the everyday life of the world through it. The experiences of others became our own experiences, and we finally discovered a visual utopia in our brains as we began to struggle against deja vu. From the container as a todays box that has actually traveled the world, I created “Raree Show”, an institution that now once again encourages us to look into the world with our ears.

The container, which was actually used for transportation around the world, has about 50 peepholes based on a world map. Looking through the holes from the inside, one can see a single word and latitude and longitude superimposed on the outside landscape, with different sounds being played from each.
