The title of this work reflects an intention to unearth information from the sounds we usually hear without much thought. This “information” refers to the acoustic characteristics inherent in every space. For instance, in open outdoor areas without walls, sound diminishes in intensity as distance increases. However, in indoor spaces enclosed by walls, ceilings, and floors, sound is reflected and absorbed. As a result, the way sound resonates changes depending on the shape, size, and materials of the space, even when the same sound is produced.

In this work, during the production process, we collected the acoustic characteristics of various spaces, including locations inside YCAM and unique architectural and natural environments in Yamaguchi where distinctive reverberations occur. Based on this, we construct soundscapes that evoke various memories. Unlike conventional concerts, the performers are removed from the audience’s direct line of sight, and the sound moves three-dimensionally through the space, as if navigating within the described soundscape.

Additionally, stage design and lighting are integrated as part of the work. Through the abstract imagery created by the interplay of sound and visual elements, the audience is invited to engage with their own senses and memories.
