I realized that the world, too, is listening to human beings. I wanted to reflect on that very realization and on how it might change the relationship between us humans and everything beyond us, so I let the forest listen to our daily sounds. A microphone installed outdoors where there are no signs of people delivers the sounds of animals and plants swaying in the wind to the places where humans are. In the same way, it let animals and trees hear the sounds of human activities. In this way, I thought that we humans might realize that the world is also listening to us.
